Ingredients

  • 50 gr of couscous
  • Small beetroot
  • A package of red beans
  • 1 medium-sized onion
  • 1 spoon of nutritional yeast
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 2 spoons of olive oil
  • 2 spoons of chickpea flour
  • 2 spoons of tamari/soya sauce
  • 1 spoon of tomato paste
  • 1 spoon of mustard
  • Spices that you fancy highly recommended:
  • Smoked paprika pepper, salt, garlic (fresh or powder), parsley.

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Beetroot and beans place in a blender and blend until its smaller, but not like a paste.
  2. Add to the bowl the nicely diced onion, carrot, spices, garlic (diced if fresh or powdered), and the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Put everything together, add the flour at the end, and let it rest until you place the parchment paper on the tray.
  4. Form little patties; you should have 12 pieces. Spread olive oil on both sides and sprinkle with some sesame seeds if you like.
  5. Bake at 200 degrees for 15 min each side. Serve with fresh lettuce or cabbage salad and mashed potatoes.

Notes

Goes well in sandwiches with cashew cream or another spread you prefer. Hope you enjoy 😊
